Well that's true, I argee with what you said but for the ending 3 that you and probably many other people want will not happen due to certain conditionġ. PS: And yeah, if I'm not mistaken, "Kotowaru" in japanese means "to refuse". So the events of the book happened the day before.? Or they happened some time ago, and Kuro was simply the most recent victim of the mountain god's revenge on Yui? Also, if you check out one of Yui's notes that you find in the game, it reads "Kuro died instead of Haru", so that raises another question - did the dog somehow sacrifice itself to save Haru? Or was it some sort of accident, and Yui blamed Haru for her dog's death? Those are some good questions that need answers in that book, although I'm pretty sure whatever that book reveals -and based on what we know of the ending- is only going to make the story even more sad and depressing._.

The thing is, in the very beginning of the game, the page from Yui's diary reads " Yesterday my dog died". Personally, it ruined my mood for days after I played through that.Īs for the events of the book, right, I suppose it will tell the story of how Yui saved Haru from that mountain god-spirit before, how Haru stayed alive during that situation and how Kuro died. And that very moment in the end where Kotowari slices Haru's arm off, she bleeds everywhere, tries to walk away and collapses after a few steps was simply too damn much. The way they went with the story and the ending, is extremely sad and depressing. _ I'm not saying the game is bad in any way, for what the developers tried to do, they did with excellence, I'm just saying they could've made an equally great game if they had given it a good ending. Honestly, I've talked about this elsewhere too, but it seems as if I'm one of the very few -if not the only one- who really wants to see a happy ending for these poor girls. Haru succeeds in bringing Yui back to life, therefore there's no need for Kotowari to be stalking her and trying to cut her up, which is the ending I wanted to see. Haru hangs herself from the same tree and dies too, which is the premature ending that you can get in the game, orģ. Yui stays dead and Kotowari cuts off Haru's arm, thus severing the red string that tied their fates together and allowing at least her to remain alive, which is what actually happened, orĢ. I had no idea what it was before playing Yomawari, but if I remember correctly, it's a string that supposedly "ties the fates of two people together", right? And if you're saying that it also means that the living and the dead can't be together, then, in my understanding, there could actually be three possible outcomes of this story.ġ. Right, the "red string of fate", I read about that in another thread here a few months ago.
